What it usually looks like

• Trading time for money at first (freelancing, services).
• Slow growth over months or years.
• Costs: tools, ads, stock, platform fees.
• Uneven income – a few people earn a lot, many earn little.

A better question

Instead of "how do I make money online?", ask "what useful thing can I do, and where are the people who'd pay for it?" Sometimes the answer is offline. See online, offline or hybrid?
